Over the years I’ve played with a variety of different bands, mostly on electric guitar. Besides electric guitars, you can find me playing acoustic guitar and the occasional random string instrument like bass, mandolin, banjo, ukulele, oud and autoharp. I’ve been doing backing vocals for several projects, which is something I really enjoy doing!

gear

My main axe is a Fender Nocaster and every now and then I'll use my Tokai Stratocaster.

Effect board has been getting smaller over the years, but usually has a volume pedal, tuner, some kind of overdrive, delay and reverb on it.
Not on the board, but often used in the studio is a tremolo, HOG, Mudhoney, DLS, custom made Hard-on and a modded SD-1.

I've been a happy Mesa Boogie amp user for over 8 years now, but basically any good tube amp will do (Dr. Z, old Fenders, Jackson Amps).

One thing I've discovered over the years, is that no matter what gear you have, you'll end up tweaking it till it sounds close to your ideal. A big part of my electric guitar sound is shaped by me growing up playing a classical guitar and hearing a lot of violin, organ and piano concerts. There's a certain structure to the acoustic sound that I've grown fond of and thus try to get in my electric sound.
