The last Psalmen voor Nu album ever. Recorded at the mailmen studios in Utrecht, arranged at Dufry Music in Amsterdam.
We arranged the album as a band, producer Minco Eggersman guiding us in the process. I did all the acoustic and electric guitars on the album, one or the other tracked live with the full band, depending on what would be the most important part for the song.
Electric guitars where all run through a mesa and a really nice old Fender (1×12) 3 knob amp that I forget the name of. Cranked it up till 11 and it just worked:) Acoustic guitars recorded were an old Martin and a not so old Furch.
I selected a couple of songs that I especially like, as the whole album features a massive 27 songs (that you can check on Spotify/iTunes via the buy link).
Psalm 2 features heavy use of my strat and has a nice Toto meets that guy that always plays a strat with delay kind of feel.
Psalm 143 has such a deep vibe, really happy with how that one turned out!
Psalm 50 was a lot of fun to play and has a really nice guitar solo/sound at 1:50.
Psalm 36. Just a fun track to play and I love the guitar sound, cranked amps saturate in such a pleasing way:) It also features this super weird lick at the end. Those moments in music make me happy:)
